Behind The Sign

The story of Aquarius is based upon the beautiful young prince of Troy, Ganymede.  One day, while Ganymede was tending to the sheep, Zeus became infatuated with this young boy.  He took the form of an eagle (or in some accounts sent his Eagle Aquila) and swooped down to "take" Ganymede away to Olympus where he became the cup-bearer of the gods.

The story did not end after Ganymede's capture. There are two accounts of the rest of the story. In one account Ganymede, who longed to return home to earth (and who was tired of suffering the bullying of Hera, Zeus's wife), rebelled against the gods and poured all of the gods' wine out on the earth causing the earth to rain for many days. Zeus was about to punish him, but then realizes he had been unfair to the boy. To make up for it, he makes him immortal as the constellation in the sky. In another account, Ganymede saw that the people on the earth needed water. He pleaded with Zeus to send rain down upon the earth. Zeus granted this, and Ganymede became honored as god of rain among the constellations.  Because of this story, Aquarius is affiliated with our great water bearer: the clouds above. Note: Cup-bearers were considered to be in high ranking positions because they represented a symbol of trust to a royal court.

While Aquarius is somewhat representative of a cup-bearer, the symbol of Aquarius is mostly representative of a personification of clouds and rain water.  For the sake of this article, I will be using a more modern day symbol to get a better understanding of this sign: the clouds...the greatest water-bearer of all.

Clouds are usually formed from evaporated droplets of water from the earth that condenses into the cooler air. There are three types of clouds: Cirrus clouds (thin, wispy-looking clouds), Stratus clouds, and Cumulus clouds. Only two of these types of clouds produce heavy amounts of precipitation.  Stratus clouds and Cumulus clouds are usually the most responsible for rain water on earth.  Stratus clouds are usually shapeless and flat (they usually resemble a sheet of clouds).  While this type of cloud usually covers the sunlight at long distances in one area, they are not as dangerous. They are capable of presenting themselves at lower altitudes, which will usually be called a fog.  Cumulus clouds usually have a variety of different shapes and sizes. While they are the most popular because of their various shapes and sizes, they are capable of producing some of the most dangerous storms.  Funnel clouds usually form from cumulonimbus clouds.  These funnel clouds are usually responsible for torandic activity. Precipitation usually happens when water droplets get really heavy within the clouds as water condenses. Thus, they begin to fall from the clouds. Precipitation may come in the form of rain, hail, sleet, or snow.  Clouds usually contain tons and tons of water, though they are frozen as ice particles before preciptiation. Another activity present within the clouds is electronic waves carried from cloud to cloud. This is usually referred to as lightning and they usually cause a colliding sound called thunder. There are many planets in our solar sytem that have clouds. This is the most universal phenomenon. Jupiter and Saturn are planets that are filled with layers and layers of clouds made up of ammonia. The planet Venus also has layers of cloud made up of sulfur-dioxide.

In astrology, the sign of Aquarius represents humanity, originality, objectivity, disconnection, and spontaniety.  It is the 11th sign in the zodiac. Aquarius is ruled by the planet Saturn traditionally, which is the planet of limitations/boundaries, discipline, law, order, and karma.  According to modern astrologers, Aquarius is also ruled by Uranus, the planet of innovation, originality, progress, and revolution. Aquarius, although affiliated with water, it is actually an air sign.  In astrology, air represents sociability, mental pursuit, and changeability.  Aquarius is also a FIXED sign, which represents stability and power.  Opposite sign: Leo. Natives who have positions in Aquarius are quite original...and they love to be this original.  They will do anything just to be different. They never follow the crowd...although they do want to be accepted.  These natives are known for being paradoxical.  The truth comes down to the fact that they may have often been seen as "different" at a very early age.  Later in life, they learn to embrace this side to themselves and they seek to convince others that there is nothing wrong with being "different".  For these natives, EVERY human being is different in their own special way and quirks should not be downplayed or mocked.  These natives are humanitarians who are more focused on human progress on a mental level.  They are full of so many ideas that they want others to be open minded to.  Yet, they are known for being quite obstinate when presented with other people's ideas.  It is hard to convince them that their ideas will not work, even with convincing evidence.  Don't be mistaken though; they are logical and factual, despite their utopian ideals. They've usually reviewed the facts before attempting to do anything and will question any idea that sounds illogical or unreasonable. These natives are quite experimental and spontaneous.  Expect the unexpected when in the presence of a native with this position.  As rebellious as they may seem, they are actually quite reserved and orderly.  These natives may be attracted to careers involving law, order, and justice.  These natives do not rebel for no reason; usually they have some greater objective. There is always a method to their "madness".  With these natives, there really is a thin line between genius and insanity.  These natives are all about the truth...yet there is one side of them that they have a tendency to hide: their emotions and insecurities.  They are known for being quite aloof.  They struggle to develop intimacy because of their cool (almost cold) natures.  Despite their detachment, these natives make excellent friends because of their loyalty and acceptance.  They may enjoy joining clubs/organizations because they like to be involved in a higher purpose.  Or they may simply join these"groups" in order to find acceptance.

The way a sign will express depends on the planets positioned in the natal/transit chart.  The perception of house cusp signs are usually influenced by the ruling planet as well as the house it represents. Note: Natives who have Saturn/Uranus aspecting any of the following planet may relate to the following descriptions.  Negative aspects usually means there will be setbacks; positive aspects usually means there will be advantages.  The following descriptions show the various different "Aquarius" positions we will encounter. On this webpage, there will be tidbits on Dignities (domicile/exaltation) and debilities (detriment/fall).  For more information, visit venussigns.wix.com/planetarydignities.To make a birth chart, visit www.astro.com)

Sun in Aquarius: The Ego of a Water-Bearer

The sun is the closest star to Earth and one of the largest in our solar system.  All of the planets in our solar system sourrounds the sun and it is the source of life here on earth.  In astrology, it is also at the center of our "inner" universe and the source of our individual life.  The sun is considered the "planet" of the ego, pride, attention, identity, and leadership.  These natives will be the proudest water-bearers we encounter.  However, the sun is considered in detriment in the sign of Aquarius.  The sun's warm and self-centered energy feels blocked behind the aloof and humanity-focused sign.

Natives with this position are quite unique compared to most people.  They simply don't think like other people do and they may have realized how different they were at a very early age.  Yet, these natives may honestly seek to belong and be accepted.  After all, these natives are quite proud of their uniqueness...and they want other people to respect this uniqueness as well.  These natives do not like being labeled in any way.  This is why their identities tend to be inconsistent. For these natives, there is no definition.  The minute they begin to be labeled, the minute they will change everything up.  They tend to be spontaneous in their expression.  They will never do or say what people expect them to.  They may find this amusing as it tends to feed their egos.  There are times when they may feel mentally superior to others.  Even if they are not the intellectual types, they may feel their viewpoints on life are much better than everyone else's.  These natives may be interested in philanthropy or humanitarian causes of some sort.  While they are not extremely personal when it comes to charity, they may want to give back to humanity in some way.  Or these natives may be interested in joining clubs or organizations with like-minded individuals.  These natives need to be around people in order to feel content and happy. These natives may be constantly experimenting, looking for ways to express their individuality. They may be interested in science and technology. (Natives with sun in the 11th house may relate to this description). Remember, Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus, therefore the position of these planets in the chart will influence this position.

Moon in Aquarius: The Emotions of a Water-Bearer

The moon is typically a satelitte that surround certain objects in our solar system.  On planet Earth, there is only one moon...yet it shapes the way our climate thrives.  The moon has especially been tied to tides of the ocean on earth.  In astrology, the moon is classified as a "planet", and it  shapes the way our inner world develops and grows.  This is considered the planet of emotions, support, memories, habits, and dreams.  These natives will be the most emotional water-bearers we encounter.

Natives with this position are unpredictable emotionally.  Most times they are quite aloof towards their own feelings and the feelings of others.  They may believe throughout their lifetime that emotions can only cause more problems, thus they do everything in their power to distance themselves from it.  As a result, these natives may struggle to have stable relationships with others if they do not have people around them who understand them.  Of course, these natives are not devoid of emotion...in fact they may be the most sensitive natives one could ever meet.  Their sensitivity is exactly the reason they avoid emotions.  They may shock others when they suddenly explode with sudden bursts of emotion that has usually been built up inside.  These natives may often feel lonely or outcast by others.  They may struggle to feel like they belong, even if they have many friends around them.  What they are always seeking is to be apart of something, whether it is a community, friends, or cause.  If they do not have acceptance, they will become very depressed souls. Of course, developing connections with others will be difficult if they don't learn to open up to people a little more. Those who are close to them may feel that these natives expect too much of others.  These natives seem to act above the "petty" emotions of others (even when deep down they do feel it).  These natives have a deep concern for the state of humanity.  They may exceed in careers that help humanity in some way.  Careers involving law may be perfect avenues for them.  These natives may be attracted to unusual things and people.  They are more comfortable around people who are different.   (Natives with moon in the 11th house may relate to this description). Remember, Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus, therefore the position of these planets in the chart will influence this position.

Mercury in Aquarius: The Intellect of a Water-Bearer

Mercury is one of the trickiest planets.  Its orbit is much faster than all the other planets around the sun (hence why it was named after the swift-footed messenger, Mercury).  It has one of the most unusual rotations. In astrology, it tends to go retrogade the most often through the signs.  This is the planet of the mind and communication, as well as skills.  Therefore, these natives will be the most communicative water-bearers we will encounter. Some modern astrologers consider Mercury to be exalted in the sign of Aquarius.  This is understandable.  Mercury is the planet of the mind, and Aquarius is a sign of objectivity and genius, which can give a lot of energy to this planet.

Natives with this position have an unusual mind.  They like to think differently from others, and they may come up with original ideas just to be "different" from others. Because they do not think like other people, some may question their intelligence.  Yet, these natives are quite geniuses.  It is because of their unusual mind that they are always thinking of new ways to do things. They are ultimately curious.  These natives enjoy experimenting and trying new things.  In fact, they learn better in environments that test their mental adaptability.  They love when things are unpredictable and may appreciate eccentric learning styles.  Despite how unusual these natives are, they honestly appreciate efficient methods more than anything. If it is different and efficient they cannot help but respect it.  These natives are full of ideas, but they are not always open to the ideas of others, especially if those ideas do not include their own ideas.  This can sometimes leave them close-minded, rather than open-minded.  These natives are quite logical in their approach to life. They may use their mind to define everything in life, which doesn't leave much room for emotional or personal reflection. They may have a billion ideas as to how to improve upon the advancement of humanity (even if they never get these ideas off the ground).  These natives make excellent inventors.  These natives may also find careers involving law attractive. (Natives with Mercury in the 11th house may relate to this description). Remember, Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus, therefore the position of these planets in the chart will influence this position.

Venus in Aquarius: The Charm of a Water-Bearer

Venus is astronomically the brightest and hottest planet in our solar system.  In astrology, it is also one of the "hottest" planets, considering it represents everything attractive.  It is particularly the planet of love, beauty, money, and the arts.  Therefore, these natives will be the most charming and attractive water-bearers we will encounter.

Natives with this position are quite quirky and unusual...and this is what makes them so endearing.  They love being different and honestly they want be accepted as an individual.  Yet, these natives are very particular about those they let into their inner circle.  These natives may only make friends with those who have the same unusual ideas on life that they have. This especially applies to anyone who is interested in being in a romantic relationship with these natives.  For these natives, friendship is the most important bond, and so if one is interested in being in a relationship with them, they must be friends first.  These natives have a tendency to date childhood friends.  These natives, while unusual, tend to be very popular among people.  This is because they generally like being around people.  While they are usually independent, they get lonely rather easily.  They may be involved in humanitarian projects or may be drawn to some club/organization in their lifetime.  They often identify with whatever group or organization they are involved with. Or they may simply identify with whatever friends they have.  They see their friends as apart of who they are.  These natives tend to be original when it comes to art.  Despite how eccentric these natives are, they are suprisingly reserved in their behavior.  They may believe that the best way to handle situations is in a cool and collected manner.  They do believe in doing things with humility and they are very considerate of others socially.  Yet, there are times when they will act superior to others, as if they have no flaws what-so-ever.  They may struggle to be introspective.  They may have unusual hobbies that they like sharing with intimates who enjoy them as well.  Don't judge them by making them feel unusual or strange...this is a turn-off. (Natives with Venus in the 11th house may relate to this description). Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus, therefore the position of these planets in the chart will influence this position.

Mars in Aquarius: The Energy of a Water-Bearer

Mars is astronomically a reddish color, which is caused by rust in its climate.  Because of this reddish color, this planet has been affiliated with blood and war...hence why it is named after the god of war, Mars.  In astrology, this is the planet of energy, passion, aggression, sexuality, and focus.  These natives are the most energetic and passionate water-bearers we will encounter.

Natives with this position are quite cool and collected as people.  They never get worked up over things easily and may even have a superiority-complex, in which they feel they are better than others because of it.  They may seem to lack passion when around others because they don't take anything seriously.  Yet, deep down they are filled with passion and this will only be visible to those who know them well.   Their passion will simply come out in unpredictable ways.  This also applies to their temper.  One may never know when these natives will act aggressively.  Don't worry...they are very much in control of themselves.  Everything they do, even if done spontaneously, is usually planned.  There's a method to all of their madness. They may love to "shock" people with their ideas and their way of life.  They like being seen as different and may take advantage of how people see them.  They seem to understand how people think. They usually have progressive ideas when it comes to humanity. They are trendsetters and they make excellent inventors. These natives value freedom and individuality.  This can make them seem distant in personal relationships no matter how many sentimental energies they have in their natal chart.  Sexually, they are quite experimental.  They get bored with conventional sex, so it is best that the sexual partner is prepared for something different every time.  They are more aroused when they are surprised, so doing something spontaneous will bring out the passion in them.  They may be feel more energized when they are with friends. They may do well in career fields involving law or humanitarian causes.  These natives do believe in order, despite how eccentric they may seem.  These natives have a naturally scientific and inventive mind, which they can make use of in careers involving science and technology. (Natives with Mars in the 11th house may relate to this description). Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus, therefore the positions of these planets in the chart will influence this position.

Jupiter in Aquarius: The Spirit of a Water-Bearer

Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system.  This may be one of the reasons why this planet is connected strongly with expansionism.  It is a "gas giant", a planet mostly made up of gas. Jupiter is the planet of luck/chance, belief, optimism, and expansion.  These natives are the most optimistic water-bearers we will encounter.

Natives with this position are the most humanitarian of all water bearers.  They may be involved in various different philanthropic programs or organizations in their lifetime.  These natives may believe that giving back to one's community is very important.  These natives are freedom loving and original.  And they are not afraid to show their quirky sides.  They are all about acceptance and they may go through great lengths to be accepted or they may encourage others to be accepting of others.  They want the world to be a happy place for everyone.  These natives can either be seen as geniuses or madness...either way they are always experimenting and trying new things. They are the inventors and scientists of the zodiac. These natives tend to have the strangest and most chaotic experiences in life.  Benefits come to them in spontaneous and unusual ways.  Yet, the more open they are to change the more benefits they will get. They have very strong beliefs...beliefs that they tend to be very fixed on.  It is hard for them to open their minds to other people's points of view.  This is because they have gathered all of the facts long before presenting their beliefs or ideas to others.  They will only bend their way of thinking if they are convinced otherwise.  They tend to have a superiority complex, where they feel their ideas and opinions are above the opinions of others.  These natives may take chances that cause more chaos than good.  They can be reckless, but most times they are focused on establishing a more orderly society.  These natives may be attracted to any career field involving law.  They have a lot of "team" spirit.  They get more benefits working with others than when working alone.  Many of them may join religious organizations that help the community in some way. (Natives with Jupiter in the 11th house may relate to this description). Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus, therefore the position of these planets in the chart will influence this position.

Saturn in Aquarius: The Discipline of a Water-Bearer

Saturn is most recognized by its prominent "rings" surrounding the planet that seems to bind the planet.  Saturn is the planet of limitations, discipline, karma, law, and order.  These natives are the most disciplined water-bearers we will encounter.  Traditionally, Saturn is considered in domicile in the sign of Aquarius.  This is understandable.  Saturn is a planet of order and anything reserved. Since Aquarius is also a sign that promotes order and reserve, this planet will be comfortable in this sign and express more naturally.

Natives with this position are the most reserved of all water-bearers.  They are always logical and sensible in their approach.  They know how to put their own feelings aside in order to consider the greater good.  They may have grown up in a household that encouraged them to do their part and work together with others.  These natives have a great sense of duty and they understand how important it is to give back to society. Yet, they manage to balance their reserved natures with a more open mind to change...at least the changes they feel are "necessary".  These natives are very much about methods and they are always changing up the way they do things in order to get efficient results.  There are times when these natives believe their ideas, opinions, or methods are more superior.  They may struggle to consider the feelings of others as a result.  These natives believe in law and order, and they may be attracted to career fields that enforce these things. These natives are strong believers in karma.  They know whatever they give will be given back to them.  These natives may constantly be concerned about their individual freedoms or rights.  They need to know what they can and cannot do clearly, otherwise they will never be content.  They have general respect for others, and they expect the same respect in return.  (Natives with Saturn in the 11th house may relate to this description). Aquarius is also ruled by Uranus, therefore Uranus's position in the chart will influence this position.

Uranus in Aquarius: The Innovation of a Water-Bearer

Uranus is astronomically one of the most unique planets in our solar system.  It is known for orbiting around the sun on its axis (or its side).  It is an "ice giant", which means it is a planet made up of mostly ice.  In astrology, it is the planet of innovation/originality, genius, progress, spontaniety, and revolution.  These natives will be the most innovative water-bearers we encounter. Modern astrologers consider Uranus to be in domicile in the sign of Aquarius.  This is understandable.  Uranus is a planet of innovation and spontaniety, which fits well in a sign like Aquarius that is also spontaneous and innovative.  The planet will express quite comfortably and naturally in this sign.

Natives with this position reflect the most progressive generations of all time.  They are open-minded, original, and innovative.  They may be involved in many causes, simply because its revolutionary or new.  They believe in freedom of choice and they will always stand up for their rights as human beings.  They are often seen as an unusual group because they sincerly want to be seen as unique.  They struggle to make their mark because of their lack of identity as individuals. They identify too heavily with causes, clubs, or groups.  As teenagers, this eccentricity may be most evident.  They are possibly the most rebellious generation. It is hard for them to follow the rules because they have a need for freedom and they struggle to respect old methods or authority.  While they don't seem to follow the rules, these natives may be very much attracted to fields involving law.  Believe it or not, these natives do believe in social order...they simply want a social order that is more flexible and considerate.  These natives are experimental.  They may be quite interested in science and technology.  They are a generation that discoveres new things simply by doing something different.  The may be innovators at a very early age.  (Natives with Uranus in the 11th house may relate to this description). Aquarius is also ruled by Saturn, therefore Saturn's position in the chart will influence this position.

Neptune in Aquarius: The Innocence of a Water-Bearer

Neptune is the most mysterious planet in astrology. Its climate is the hardest to define by astronomers. It is an "ice giant", a planet made up of mostly ice.  In astrology, it is also quite a mysterious planet. It represents illusion/deception, imagination, creativity, sanctuary, compassion, and the universal principle of oneness/connection.  These natives are the most impressionable yet imaginative water-bearers we will encounter.  Some modern astrologers consider Neptune to be falling in the sign of Aquarius. This is understandable.  Neptune is a planet of sanctuary and connection...while Aquarius is a sign that disconnects. This can be limiting for Neptune's energy.

Natives with this position tend to idealize anything new, unconventional, and revolutionary. They are easily swept up by causes or agendas. This generation reflects one of the most rebellious water-bearers.  Yet, at the heart of it all they truly want to be accepted for their uniqueness and they may seek to promote acceptance in the world.  While they are in search for connection, this is a generation that often feels disconnected.  Part of the reason is of their own doing; they have a strong need to feel unique and original, seeking to promote individuality.  This is a generation that may find sanctuary through chaos and revolution.  They don't want to hide the truth, they'd rather reveal the truth about life.  This is not an extremely religious generation.  In fact, this generation believes more in the powers of mankind.  If they are religious, they will be attracted to religions that are flexible, giving them a lot of freedom. This is a generation that may be attracted to science and technological advancements.  They may be interested in art that is mostly progressive or unconventional.  They may even have unconventional art tools.  These natives tend to have compassion for those who are outcasts or underdogs.  They have compassion for those who struggle to make friends and they are the kind of natives that will befriend anyone not matter their station! They have an unusual connection with anyone who is different or rebellious.  Unfortunately, they are naive when it comes to good friendships. They must be careful of being deceived by those who do not have their best interests.  These natives may seek to identify themselves by groups or organizations.  They may be the least defined as individuals, despite their need to feel different.  These natives tend to be in denial when it comes to their personal feelings. They may pretend to be above jealousy, hatred, and other "flawed" and "impure" thoughts.  Yet, they cannot handle it when reality sets in, and they realize that they do have these not-so pure qualities. This generation may be drawn to alchemy of some sort. (Natives with Neptune in the 11th house may relate to this description). Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus, therefore the position of these two planets in the natal chart will influence this position.

Pluto in Aquarius: The Power of a Water-Bearer

Pluto is classified as a "dwarf planet" rather than an actual "planet".  It is the largest dwarf planet in our solar system, being one of the darkest and coldest objects in our solar system.  In astrology, Pluto is the planet of darkness, depth, transformation, destruction, and ultimately power.  These natives will be the most powerful water-bearers we encounter.  Some modern astrologers consider Pluto to be falling in the sign of Aquarius.  This is understandable.  Pluto is a planet of inner power and inner depth...while Aquarius is more objective and humanity-oriented.

Natives of this generation do not focus on personal power.  Rather, they are more focused on the powers of humanity as a whole.  These natives may try to gain power through groups or organizations. Freemasonry may be highly attractive to these natives. They are advancement oriented.  They may be quite fascinated with the powers of science and technology.  They may be interested in alchemy. These natives are extremely rebellious.  They are seen as a blend of genius and insanity.  They could be the most innovative natives, yet the most reckless and unusual natives to ever encounter.  They are experimental, wanting to test the waters of pretty much everything.  They don't care about being judged...they embrace their uniquness with grace.  They may have quite a superiority complex, believing that they are above others who do not think and feel the way they do.  This is not the most introspective group of natives.  They may believe that they are flawless and they may make excuses for their wrongdoing. Yet, they are not as tolerant of the wrongdoings of others.  They can be quite controlling of others, forcing others to comply with their "rules"...yet breaking the rules of others.  These natives do not want to be controlled, not even by their own needs or desires. Yet, they may always feel overwhelmed by their own inner demons because they refuse to face their inner world.  Some of these natives may deny their feelings even exist and may settle for being disinterested with life. This generation may either embrace the future openly or they may be in deep fear of it.   (Natives with Pluto in the 11th house may relate to this description). Aquarius is ruled by both Saturn and Uranus, therefore the position of these planets in the chart will influence this position.

North Node in Aquarius: The Future Life of a Water-Bearer

The north node is representative of one of the invisible ecliptic points, when the moon crosses paths with the sun (causing an eclipse). The north node is particularly affiliated with the solar eclipse (the day the sun turns black).  The north node represents our karmic destiny/life purpose.  While it is not the most comfortable lifestyle presented to us, by embracing this destiny we will find more fulfillment in life.

Natives with this position may find thay their life is motivating them to work with others or do something for others rather than for themselves, which is what they would have done in the past (south node in Leo).  Some natives are so used to being the center of attention and focusing on their own life, that they may fight to hold on this lifestyle. Of course, there are many with this position that are bored with focusing only on themselves or tired of all the attention they are getting and would rather do something for humanity or would rather be accepted as apart of humanity.  If these natives embrace their destiny, they will be able to develop new skills involving innovation, originality, and genius. (Natives with north node in the 11th house may relate to this description). Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus, therefore the position of these planets in the chart will influence this position.

South Node in Aquarius: The Past Life of a Water-Bearer

The south node represents the other invisible ecliptic point, when the moon crosses paths with the sun (causing an eclipse).  The south node is particularly affiliated with the lunar eclipse (when the moon turns red).  The south node, while presenting more of a comfortable lifestyle to us, can make us feel less fulfilled because we have been here and done this.  However, we can always learn from our past experiences and use the talents that we have developed from our past.  This is why examining the south node is very important.

Natives with this position are used to living a life where they are always doing for others or working together with others.  However, their destiny is leading them to gain more personal recognition (north node in Leo).  Some natives may try to hold on to their humanity oriented lifestyle because this is what they are used to. Yet, the ones who embrace their destiny will be able to make use of their naturally innovative abilities, their genius, and their way with people to get personal recognition. (Natives with south node in the 11th house may relate to this description) Aquarius is ruled by Saturn and Uranus, therefore the position of these planets in the chart will influence this position.

Chiron in Aquarius: The Wounded Water-Bearer

Chiron is the planet of wounds that need to be healed.  It is scientifically a dwarf planet with lesser astrological significance than Pluto, but more significance than the asteroids Ceres, Juno, Pallas, and Vesta. It tells the story of pain, but a way to heal that pain.

Natives with Chiron in Aquarius have a wounded sense of  individuality, humanity, objectivity, innovation, and belonging.  These natives tend to feel like outcasts...like they just don't fit in as if they are odd or strange. On the contrary, they may feel as if they don't stand out or there is nothing interesting about them.  They may feel alone even in a crowd of people.  They tend to avoid personal relationships out fear of judgment.  They may act out rebelliously in order to feel unique or feel better about their uniqueness.  There may be blockage when it comes to innovation. Of course, with this placement they may just be one of the most innovative people of all time.  They just need to accept themselves for who they are without validation from others.  Everyone is an individual.  Having a lot of friends is great, but good friends are better and they can be a form of healing for the native.
