 The 12 Houses

 of the Natal Chart

This page focuses on how debilitated or dignified planets will manifest within the houses.  The 12 houses of the natal chart represents areas of our human lives where we tend to express our planetary energies the most.  While each house does have sign cusps, the houses have more significance when there are planets residing in them.  Remember, when a planet is in a debilitated position, the native may have setbacks when trying to gain the benefits of the planet.  When a planet is in a dignified position they may have more adventages when trying to gain the benefits of the planet. (Aspects also affect the way these planets are expressed, and thus influence setbacks or advantages).  Any setbacks or advantages of the planet will show more profoundly in the houses.

Note: Remember, when a planet is in domicile in a house, the native expresses naturally and sincerely. When a planet is exalted, the expression is more dramatic. When a planet is falling, the expression is more stiff or reserved. When a planet is in detriment the expression is awkward and insincere.  The following descriptions apply if a native has a planet in detriment by sign in the houses or the descriptions may also apply to those who have a planet that is "accidentally debilitated" by house placement.  Planets with negative planetary aspects should also be considered.
