Do other Planets reflect our Athletic Abilities or Interests?
Usually Mars can give us the strongest indications of our competitive drive, our actions, and our energy. Because of this, Mars influences who we are as athletes more than any other planet. Yet, there are other planets that may also reflect our own athletic abilites, in various different ways. You must take note that ALL the planets will at least reflect SOME of our athletic ability and interests, but there are certain planets that may highlight more obvious parts of our athletic life.
Each planet has its own meaning and purpose in astrology. They usually represent various parts of human nature, and within each sign that planet begins to have color and form. The sign is not th only thing that affects the planet; the planetary aspects from other planets and the natal houses also have a strong influence on how the planets will express. The planets are very vital when trying to understand a person fully. With that being said, I will present distinct planets that may show the strongest reflection of our athletic abilities.
You see, depending on the sports one would play, would determine which planet is the most beneficial to the native. If one wanted to be a professional athlete, this would be different from a person that simply wants to play for fun. If one wanted to play on team sports, this would be different from when a person decides to play independently from a team. So, when reviewing the MOST IMPORTANT planets in sports, all these things had to be considered. Particularly I will use the planets in signs as an example of the basic nature of a person and how that basic nature is a reflection of what they will do or like to do.
What about planetary aspects and houses? I will also give aspects that are similar to these planets in signs, which may give even MORE of an indication of one's athletic abilities and athletic interest.

Jupiter also represents our "team spirit".
A person may not necessarily initially like certain sports, but Jupiter's motto is to 'give it a chance'. And when we give Jupiter's energy a chance we may enjoy sports more. Jupiter's energy reflects the athletic atmosphere that will get us enthused.

Some of you may wonder; why has Venus been added to this list of planets that reflect our interests in sports? The first thing that people must understand is that Venus represents our natural love for things, our personal tastes, and overall the way we treat others.
Therefore, our interest in sports will be influenced by this appreciative planet. Whenever we like a sport for any reason, Venus usually reflects our love or appreciation for it. To be honest, without Venus we may never develop an interest in a sport. Even if a person may not have any sort of athletic ability, that doesn't mean that a person cannot appreciate sports, right? Venus is a planet that reflects both an athlete's or sports lover's appreciation for sports.
Venus is also very useful to examine if we are interested in joining a team sport, for it gives us an indication of how we may treat those we play with on a team.
