Sun in Capricorn In The Theater

The sun is the astrological "planet" of the ego, the self/self-expression, attention, creativity, and presentation. Capricorn is the sign of ambition, respect, maturity, obstacles, and resources. It is a cardinal sign (representing initiation), it is an earth sign (representing sensual energy), and it is ruled by Saturn (the planet of  limits/boundaries, discipline, order, karma, and age/time). When sun is in Capricorn, the ego is reserved and a bit limited in its expression. This is not to say that the natives do not have a lot of confidence. The native simply expresses the ego in a more moderate fashion. To add, these natives seem to live a life filled with obstacles, which contributes to their reserved expression of confidence.  The obstacles in their life usually comes from their rather pessimistic attitude, of course. Nevertheless, they are one of the most ambitious natives in the zodiac because they have the ability to endure even the toughest of hardships.

As actors, sun in Capricorn natives are hardworking and ambitious.  They are determined to become respected actors, sometimes starting from the bottom of the ranks.  Sure, they may start off working in commercials, working as extras on a movie set, or background dancers in a stage musical, but you can believe that they are only doing these things temporarily until they can gain enough experience to move up to bigger and better acting roles.  A solid resume is their focus. They may seem like a dull person because their life may seem to revolve around acting. They may need to take time to relax, otherwise they will neglect their personal life only to be old and alone. They have quite a dry sense of humor and an almost down-to-earth approach to acting, which is appealing to those who prefer a less flamboyant characterization.  They must be careful of being a little too cautious in their dealings with others. Striking a business deal for a role can be quite a hassle because of their need for respect and quality pay. If they are more reputable actors, they may have a demanding schedule that they stick to and refuse to bend. They might want to try to be more open-minded, or else they’ll lose the opportunities they are looking for as actors.  Otherwise, they make fantastic managers and/or agents, to the point they could manage other actors if they chose that as a career.

As directors,  they are strictly about the business.  This is not to say that they won’t make a casual joke here or there on set.  It simply means that they put business before pleasure and they see directing or acting as very important jobs that others should take seriously.  This means that if you want to be an actor under their direction, you are going to have to work hard, be on time, and be willing to do some overtime.  They want dedicated team players because they themselves are also dedicated to creating a spectacular movie. They want a movie to have the kind of quality only money can buy.  Sure, sometimes this focus on monetary success might hinder their creativity or ethics in the long run and eventually it will become noticeable when the movie is simply a cash-out.  They might want to reevaluate what makes movies so special in the first place.
