Sun in the houses & Acting

The 12 houses of the zodiac are 12 divisions found on a natal chart that is arranged according to each parts of our life on earth.  Each house has a sign on the cusp of it (representing how we approach certain areas of our life) and in some of the houses there will be planets located there (representing areas in which we satisfy our inner desires and express ourselves more.  The sun position in the houses will show how we express ourselves and where we tend to shine.  When it comes to acting, it will show us what motivates our need to be center stage.

 

Sun in the first house: The 1st house is the house of self, identity, persona, and attitude. They are born actors, always ready for an opportunity to land a role.  They seek attention wherever they go, promoting themselves as much as possible. While they don't mind the life of being an actor, they are quite self-conscious.

 

Sun in the second house:  The 2nd house is the house of money, possessions, value, and talents.  They are more concerned about what the acting world can provide monetarily.  They tend to have natural acting talent that they are proud of and could make use of.

 

Sun in the third house: The 3rd house is the house of communication, mentality, education, network, and transportation. They are quite interested in the acting field in general and may even decide to go to school to learn about acting and develop more acting skills.  They always connect with others in the world of acting, which gives them opportunities to shine.

 

Sun in the fourth house: The 4th house is the house of home, family, foundations, and the past. They might have a more of a familial attachment to acting, which may be due to having family members that have supported their acting skills.  They may even be apart of a family of actors.

 

Sun in the fifth house:  The 5th house is the house of creativity, amusements/hobbies, romance, and children. They were born to be in the spotlight! They simply enjoy getting attention and fame, so acting is most certainly their calling.  They may prefer it as more of a hobby than as a career because the idea of this being "Work-related" kills the joy of it. They are quite entertaining as people. They might start acting or performing at very early stages in their life or they may have children that aspire to be actors.  Their creativity might also lead them to be film producers or directors.

 

Sun in the sixth house:  The 6th house is the house of work, routine, health, and animals. They may work in a profession that involves acting in some form or fashion.  They take pride in their work, no matter what. They might work in films involving animals or health.

 

Sun in the seventh house:  The 7th house is the house of partnership, cooperation, projection, and objectivity. They are excellent when it comes to acting because they know how to put themselves in the shoes of another.  They are cooperative team players and are capable of compromising with a team of actors. They might also be good at directing because of their ability to bring people together to complete projects. Of course, criticisms will hurt their ego more than others because they are heavily concerned about how others view them.

 

Sun in the eighth house: The 8th house is the house of obligations, debts, taboos, personal desires, sacrifices, and inheritances/legacies. They would do well as movie producers or agents because they understand the investments that come with making fantastic movies.  As actors they know how to make great business deals and always come out making the most of their career. They may be interested in acting in or directing movies that have taboo subject matter. Or being an actor might be considered taboo to those around them. It is most certainly a guilty pleasure of theirs regardless. They may enjoy the aspect of acting because of their ability to change who they are in the moment.

 

Sun in the ninth house:  The ninth house is the house of travel, teaching, philosophy/religion, life, the world, and law. They may travel long distances as actors or for opportunites.  They might be interested in being acting coaches or teachers. They are usually inspired from life around them as directors and actors.

 

Sun in tenth house: The 10th house is the house of career, reputation, recognition, prestige, and authority.  Those interested in directing may have their sun in this house placement. They want to be well known actors with a solid acting reputation.  A career in acting will most certainly be of interest.

 

Sun in the 11th house: The 11th house is the house of associations, friends, organizations, causes, and aspirations.  They may want their acting skills to be used for something more important to humanity than simply entertainment. Or they may seek to make a positive impact on the acting world.  They may have friends or associates that are actors as well or friends that are interested in acting.

 

Sun in the 12th house:  The 12th house is the house of secrets, hidden, guilt, fear/paranoia, sleep or dreams, and solitude. These natives may prefer to be actors in smaller roles due to their more reclusive natures.  They might not take on opportunities as readily to gain the spotlight due to a need to maintain their private life. Or they may feel guilty for wanting so much attention to themselves. They may even have latent acting abilities.  They might be quite humble no matter what kind of talent they may have.

Venus is the planet of love, appreciation, charm, beauty, and money.  In the acting world it will influence our choices in roles heavily. Mercury is the planet of the mind, communication, and skills. In the acting world it will influence our acting skills. Jupiter is the planet of luck, optimism, expansion, ethics, and opportunity. In the acting world it will influence how we take opportunities and the opportunities that will come as a result if we take a chance.  Neptune is the planet of illusion, inspiration, mercy/pity, escape, and connection.  In the acting world it will influence what we are inspired from creatively.

 

Mercury & The Theater

 

Mercury in Aries: They are good at projecting their voice, especially on stage. They may prefer lines/or roles that are easy to learn; nothing too complicated.  As directors, they come up with ideas rather fast, but they might want to think things through before implementation.

 

Mercury in Taurus: They have smooth voices, so they may perform best in musicals.  They learn their lines/roles once they have enough time to practice. As directors, they are very focused on the visual direction of the movie.

 

Mercury in Gemini: They are adaptable  and they have quick reflexes. They pick up on lines/roles rather quickly, no matter how complicated.  They have a fantastic wit that can be used in comedy. Mercury in Cancer: They are excellent when it comes to memorizing lines/roles.  They have the ability to convey all types of emotion in their speech. As directors, they may have a sentimental way of directing movies, wanting the movie to convey all types of human emotion,

 

Mercury in Leo: They convey their speech in a dramatic way, which makes them bred for any type of acting gig.  They learn their lines more easily when they can relate to their character. As directors, they may be quite demanding but they are creative.  They are focused on standing out and dramatic displays. Some astrologers consider Mercury to be falling in the sign of Leo.

 

Mercury in Virgo:  They work hard to learn their lines precisely.  They might have a variety of different skills which makes them able to perform any type of acting job they choose.  They have quite a keen wit that is useful for comedy.
