Sun in Aquarius In The Theater

The sun is the astrological "planet" of the ego, the self/self-expression, attention, creativity, and presentation. Aquarius is the sign of spontaneity, revolution, humanity, change, knowledge, and invention/methods. It is a fixed sign (representing stability), it is an air sign (representing mental energy), and it is ruled by Uranus (the planet of change, chaos, spontaneity, revolution, and discovery) as well as Saturn (the planet of limits/boundaries, discipline, order, karma, and age/time) traditionally.  When sun is in Aquarius the sun is in one of the least egotistical signs in the zodiac; the ego is focused on humanity and the need for change in the world. This is not to say that they cannot become overly confident in their abilities neither does it mean they have no pride. Rather, they don’t have the same amount of self importance that other natives of the sun do. Their pride can be found mostly in their ideas. They are quite the deviant, always doing something different from everyone else. They even like the feeling of being different sometimes!  Unlike others, they embrace their shortcomings. They tend to be quite intelligent, no matter what kind of educational background they have. Their intelligence comes from observation, which allows them to have various talents and skills. The sun is in detriment in the sign of Aquarius because its lack of focus on the ego.

As actors, sun in Aquarius natives march to the beat of their own drum.  No matter what roles they choose to take, they will always add a spice of something quirky and unusual.  They have quite an innovative approach to the acting world, often taking opportunities that others would find unappealing.  Yet, there is always a method to their madness; taking roles that others don’t want leaves no competition for them and allows them to get consistent opportunities.  They are relatable to people because of their ability to understand human behavior. They may want to work on being less flaky and unreliable. They have a tendency to change things up too often too soon because they don’t want to have limited identity in the industry.  They want to be able to change up their choices in roles as often as possible, so they are always seeking to show their versatility as actors.

As directors,  they are most certainly unconventional.  They have a tendency to take movies and twist them in a way no one expects.  That is how they make their identity as directors. Unfortunately, their need to be “different” sometimes takes precedence over thought provoking storytelling.  They might want to slow down with their collision of ideas, otherwise they’ll only make a train-wreck. They are possibly the most humble directors one could find, though they may also seem rather aloof and cold.  They will fire you as quickly as they hire you if they see no use for you. At the same time, they are also capable of seeing that everyone has a special role to play, even the extras, in a movie. In their minds, teamwork is essential to a successful movie.  Everyone is treated equally, no matter what role they are playing or how reputable they are as actors.
