Do other Planets influence our musical interests and how?
While my website mostly focuses on the appreciative planet Venus, there are other planets in astrology that influence our musical expressions and appreciations. How so? First, Let me start by saying that ALL the planets in our natal chart reflect various different parts of us, therefore they will all influence our music tastes in some way. Each planet has its own meaning in astrology, thus reflecting our overall understanding of life and our interests. However, there are certain planets that have more influence on our musical appreciation than others. By now, I have explained how Venus reflects our main musical style and taste, as well as how Venus represents musical "tools" for us to express ourselves. Now I will focus mostly on those other specific planets in signs that may influence our musical style, while also giving examples of planetary aspects and houses. While Venus is the music tool, it is often used for various different purposes involving several other planets.What about Planetary Aspects? Planetary aspects to any planet influences the way a planet expresses in a natal chart. Whenever a planet is aspecting another one, they begin to feel like one unified energy. What about planets in their houses? Houses can also influence our musical appreciations. There are certain houses that influence our creative appreciations more. But remember, the houses are more important when planets reside in them.

The sun is the planet of the ego in astrology. It reflects the part of us that wants to be identified and recognized as an individual outside of the group consciousness. Without this planet, we could never honestly feel "alive" or special. Life would seem empty and purposeless. From a musical stand point, the sun is at the base of our creativity. It represents our ability to garner attention and be center stage. The sun has a strong influence on how we perform especially.
